Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was so much fun! Sadie played outside every day and all day! Saturday we went to Meme's and Umpy's for awhile and she rode on the four wheeler with Umpy and Meme. She didnt want to come inside!

Sunday was the big day all the "boys" came over to set up her new swing set. It took them all day to get it set up but about 5pm Sadie was finally able to swing on her swings and slide down her new slide! She was so excited an tired! We went to Meme and Umpy's house for a a cookout later on that night and she fell asleep in the car on the way over there which is a 5 minute drive! She spent the night over there and me and Daddy got to sleep until 8am on Sunday...which was nice! Sadie has been getting up around 5:30am for the last 3 days.

Today Sadie woke up at Meme's and started chatting with Meme about her new swing set. We never actually made home until later and by then it was too late to use it. But she kept looking out the window and rubbing her eyes saying" outside"! She actually went into her bedroom and put one shoe on to go outside. She brought Daddy into our room to look outside the window and see her slide!

Sadie played outside all day!! She had on a little purple bathing suit and pig tails! She ran around Meme and Umpy's yard with all her outside toys going from the boys to the pool to the dogs! She ate hotdogs with ketchup and watched the boys play Wii! And then she went around the drive way with her cup and picked up all the bottle caps she could find. Some of them were from last night's party and some of them were from parties in the past. Either way she had a blast and the weekend ended way too quickly!

Busy Weekend!

Our weekend was jam packed with all sorts of good things! First, I went to the prom for students and alumni of SEEM Prep. Very exciting...

Sadie stayed home with Daddy Friday night, and visited with Meme and Umpy and the rest of the gang.

Saturday a.m. I went to Interlocks in Newburyport to get a manicure and pedicure but only ended up with a pedicure. The girl got sick after finishing my toes and never came back! So I opted to go home with unpainted nails. I was a little self concious about the girl never coming back, like maybe my feet were gross or something. But in that profession I think she has seen feet way worse than mine! And I have been getting a pedicure once a month for about 3 three months now! Sadie and Daddy went to Sam's Club and bought a house for Sadie! No really, its a 22 foot swing set! Skip recruited 8 guys to help him assemble the unit next Sunday!

Any way, Saturday afternoon we went to the Walton compound for the girls' graduation party and Keith's 6oth. Sadie wasnt sure at first but realized all her "boys" (Uncle Ryan, Uncle Jack, Uncle Dan, Mike, Daddy and Umpy) were there! She loved being outside with all the guys and all her people were right there with her!

Sunday morning we went to Great Grammy Jean's house for coffee and to let Daddy sleep off his hangover from the party! Sadie went for a four wheeler ride with Umpy around the farm with the dogs right on their trail!

Sunday afternoon we went to Meme and Umpy's house and sat outside in the sun for a few hours. "Bam" the neighbor came over to visit and Great-Grandfather Fred came over too. Great Grammy Jean came over to spray the poison ivy off the gazebo until GG Fred appeared out of no where and chased her off! Needless to say we had a super weekend with lots of fun stuff going on!

We had a nice week. My energy is back so the laundry is being done as well as the dishes. Im sure Skip is thrilled. Sadie was great all week for Aana and Meme. She played out doorts as much as she could and cried when it was time come inside.

I had a drs. apt Wednesday the 7th. I heard the heart beat for the 2nd time I believe. Which is always nice! I have started feeling the baby move now so I feel more like Im pregnant rather than just getting fat. My next appointment is June 3rd and thats for the ultra sound as well as a regular check up. Hopefully I will find out what we are having...at first I was really hoping to have a boy but now either way I will be happy as long as the baby is healthy! It really doesnt matter either way. Sadie would love a sister or brother and Skip is convinced we are having a girl anyway. But I think we are all very excited to find out (hopefully) what will arrive October! Boy or girl!!!

Sadie went to the docks on the river with Skip today. The guys were putting the docks in the river and getting ready for boating season. Sadie loved hanging with the guys and helped when she could. Ryan and Dan dragged in the little boat across the marsh to the river and according to Umpy, she loved every minute of it! She talks about the guys every day! She knows all the dogs names and who they belong to. She knows who is pulling in the drive way according to the sound of the truck! Well, she never napped today and after hanging with the "boys" and then grocery shopping with Meme she pooped out around 5:30pm. I brought her home and she woke up 3 hours later, long enough for me to change her and put her back to bed. So I here I am watching tv, blogging and enjoying the peace and quiet with out the dog, cats, and my husband! What a great night!

And this is whats left of the magnolia tree. Its probably the last time it will bloom ever! Skip is planning to cut it down when we add on...what a shame...I might start a petition to save the magnolia!!
